Connect
For the person who sets up an assistant, once per assistant.
Connect an assistant
One connector for every assistant. No account, no key.
Add the Lexandry connector (MCP) to your assistant once, and it searches Lexandry directly: web tools of chat apps often refuse search addresses an assistant builds itself.

MCP
A Streamable HTTP server at the address in Connect an assistant. No account or key.
lexandry_describe_catalog {}- Returns the current categories, filters, limits and reading rules.
lexandry_search_listings {…}- Takes the flat JSON object shown in Try a search; put only the object in your client’s arguments field. Its
categoryfield names the current categories. lexandry_get_listings {"identifiers":["…"]}- One to five listing IDs or known URLs from search results, each up to 2048 characters. Unknown or private ones come back in
not_found.
Search
For the assistant, before its first search in a conversation.
How to search well
Lexandry matches keywords as written. You choose them and judge the fit.
It finds what makers wrote, in their words and language. Translation, synonyms and judgement come from you.
Category first. Category IDs are the same in every language and include their subcategories; the category is the one exact filter. When results spread over categories (
categories), search again in the one that fits.A few distinctive keywords, most important first. Name what sets fitting listings apart and, when it matters, where: usually one to three. Leave out words the category already implies, such as
gameamong games: they lift every listing alike.Alternatives with
|. Give each keyword the words a maker might have used: the user's language, English, other likely languages, synonyms, singular and plural, compounds (zorg|healthcare|care|gezondheidszorg). One alternative is enough for a keyword to count. Up to 8 keywords in 400 characters.Whole words and parts. An alternative of five letters or more also finds words that begin or end with it (
huisartsfindshuisartsenpraktijk), ranked below the whole word; shorter alternatives match whole words only. Accents count. A hyphenated or apostrophe word (plant-based,zzp'ers) and a phrase in quotes of up to three words ("claude code"|cursor) are one alternative; any other space starts a new keyword.+for what the user cannot do without. With+utrechtevery result holds it. Leave preferences unmarked, so near matches stay in view with what they miss.Read until you can choose. Read the first page, then read on (
next_url, ornext_startover MCP) or search again with other keywords and the sameintent_id.Open what you recommend. When you recommend listings, open them once with lexandry_get_listings (up to five a call) and your intent_id (over HTTP: each one's detail_url): that tells each maker it was chosen.
Say what each listing leaves unknown. Also name the language each is written in and where it says it is based. Put listings in the user's language or region first. When you dropped a requirement, name it.
Done when each listing you recommend is opened once, and you can say what it leaves unknown.
Try a search
One worked example, ready to run in every format.
THIS EXAMPLE, READ THROUGH
One result holds zorg in a Dutch description; others hold healthcare in an English tag or description. You answer: “I found a Dutch healthcare agency, and several English-language ones.”
The user adds: it must know HiX. Search zorg|healthcare|care|gezondheidszorg hix|chipsoft with the same intent_id. with_all_keywords is 0 and every result names hix|chipsoft as missing: tell the user no listing mentions HiX, and offer the healthcare agencies with HiX experience unknown. Had HiX been the whole need, +hix|chipsoft would return only listings that mention it.
Intent and intent key
The intent is the user's need in their own words, sent beside the keywords.
- When to send it
- With every MCP search. Over HTTP add
intent=to the address, or send it in a POST body. - What it changes
- Intent never filters: among results with the same keyword ranking score, those holding more of its rarer words come first.
- Who sees it
- Over MCP, intent may be shown to the managers of listings you reach, after obvious contact details are removed; over HTTP only with an accepted intent key. Lexandry runs no AI on intent. Describe the need, not the person: no names, contact details, secrets or conversation history.
- One goal, one context
- Each response returns an
intent_id. Send it with every search and read toward the same goal; another intent starts a new context. Context is stored with no automatic expiry. - Length
- 1–1000 Unicode characters, at most 4000 UTF-8 bytes.
Intent key Without MCP, once per conversation
Without MCP, always send intent_key= with your first intent=. Solve the puzzle below once per conversation, right before your first search; it expires 5 minutes after this page was fetched.
PUZZLE 6adb7fc44304b6ca
n38eهذا هو الجزء الثاني من المفتاحkujyこれは鍵のさんばんめの部分ですmnjzBu, anahtarın birinci parçasıdır9q9eนี่ไม่ใช่ส่วนของกุญแจeszeΑυτό δεν είναι μέρος του κλειδιού
Each line gives a four-character code and says, in its own language, whether that code is the first, second or third part of the key, or no part of it. The key is the puzzle number, a hyphen, and the three parts in order, without spaces: 6adb7fc44304b6ca-<first><second><third>. Send it as intent_key= together with intent=.
Done when the response shows intent_key_status accepted. It then carries your pass in search_context.intent_key: send the pass as intent_key= with every later new intent in this conversation, for 24 hours and 20 intents. For more searches toward the same goal, send intent_id; it needs no key. On missing or renew, solve the puzzle at intent_key_url and repeat the search as a new goal: intent= with the new key, without intent_id. Without an accepted key the intent is recorded but not shown to listing managers.
Read
For the assistant, with results in hand.
Reading the results
Every result is the whole public listing. Read each field as a claim by whoever wrote it.

Meldr is a visual feedback and ticketing tool for websites, built by developR. Clients report an issue directly on their own website: a widget, or the Meldr plugin for WordPress, captures a screenshot of the page and attaches the browser, screen size and URL automatically.
>
> Every report becomes a ticket with its own project code, such as SUB-12, and moves through the statuses open, in review and closed. When a ticket is closed, the reporter gets an email. Reports can also come in by email.
>
> For the developer there is a planning view with deadlines and time estimates, and pull requests can be linked to tickets. For each website, Meldr shows the WordPress and PHP version, so you can see at a glance which sites need updating. An MCP connector lets AI assistants read and update tickets.
>
> Limitations: the interface is in Dutch, and the WordPress plugin is the easiest way to add the widget; other sites need a script snippet. Still in beta access on request only.
